I inverse a few things and all the neighbors loved it-5 people asked for the recipe.Instead of bacon I used 3cups chopped ham (leftover from Thanksgiving), I inverse to regular chicken goop, 2 cups of cheddar, omitted the salt, added 1/2 cup milk, 3 chopped green onions, and 1 TBSP parsley. BEST SOUP EVER!!!
09/05/2007
Excellent flavor! I made only a few modifications- sauteed the veggies in the bacon fatty & used i/ii chicken broth & 1/2 milk to brand it a little creamier. I also used a tater masher to intermission upwards the potatoes in the pot prior to serving. My married man and toddler gobbled it upwardly!

I make nigh 20 soups a month and about never brand the same soup twice in a month however I've fabricated this soup 4 times in the same month information technology is to die for people tin't get plenty of it. I'thousand a caterer for small issue (nether 50 people). I cater to all types of people from bluish collars to suits and they all love this soup but the same. Information technology will become a perminate particular on my menu. Thanks so much!?!
03/11/2007
This soup is delicious! I didn't think it would thicken up afterward I poured in iv cups of chicken broth, but subsequently simmering, I had no trouble with the thickness. I would recommend maybe 3/4 loving cup of cheese instead of 1/ii. Other than that, this came out wonderfully!
01/22/2013
It was pretty good as written, but why in the world would you lot get rid of all that yummy bacon grease and replace it with olive oil??? I know it's supposed to be healthier, but my grandparents both lived into their 90's eating salary fat and/or lard nearly every mean solar day!
11/07/2002
This was very tasty! I used regular chicken goop, non low salt. I pureed half of the soup mixture in the blender, so added information technology to the remaining soup with the salary. That made for a prissy texture. I added some corn and chopped ham to the leftovers the next day for a hearty lunch. This is a keeper, thanks!
06/11/2006
No good. Only decent after MAJOR changes. It was like potatoes in broth, not a flossy hearty soup. I had to add together milk, knorr craven bouillion and more than to make it palatable. Will trash this recipe- not for us, sorry. Peradventure amend suited to those looking for a brothy potato soup vs. a hearty creamy one?
03/xx/2003
Bully soup and my daughter shouted "mom-requite this five stars!" My boyfriend ate 3 bowls (and didn't touch the sandwiches I made to get with the soup!). I cooked the veggies in a TBLS of the leftover bacon grease and added ane/2c milk just to ensure it was creamy. Very good soup Kwollak!
01/fifteen/2003
Great Soup - Side by side time I program to puree it smooth prior to adding the cheese and bacon - perhaps a fiddling cream - thanks
03/19/2002
This recipe is the greates. I used pepper bacon and homemade chicken broth. The pepper bacon really added a little kick. My married man ate all of it!
12/13/2009
This is an outstanding soup! Information technology's hard to observe a skilful spud soup that doesn't use milk/cream or flour/cornstarch, but this more than fits the pecker! Both my husband and I loved it! With a glass of chianti and some warm, crusty bread, it's the perfect warm upward at the end of a common cold twenty-four hour period. I cooked to the recipe, though I used some of the bacon drippings rather than olive oil to saute the onion, carrots and celery. The cayenne pepper sets off the veggies and bacon beautifully. one/8th tsp is perfect. Easy to brand, quick, and tastes good the next day, likewise. This one is an instant classic in our home!
03/20/2003
Not bad soup and my girl shouted "mom-give this five stars!" My boyfriend ate 3 bowls (and didn't touch the sandwiches I made to become with the soup!). I cooked the veggies in a TBLS of the leftover bacon grease and added 1/2c milk just to ensure information technology was flossy. Very skilful soup Kwollak!

I Accept MADE THIS RECIPE MANY MANY TIMES Following THE RECIPE EXACTLY AND Information technology IS DEFINATELY A KEEPER! I WAS LOOKING FOR A Not-CREAM SOUP. I HAVE EVEN ADDED MORE BROTH AND More POTATOES TO MAKE Information technology GO FURTHER. BECAUSE I Practice Non LIKE VERY SPICY Food, I SOMETIMES USE A TINY Bit LESS CAYENE PEPPER. I NOTICED THAT SOME CHEESES DO Not MELT Besides INTO THE SOUP. IF You WANT A CREAM SOUP, FIND A Different RECIPE. THE Title IS BACON AND Tater SOUP, NOT Cream OF Spud AND Salary SOUP!
01/xx/2012
OMG, I've been searching for this recipe for years (a not-cream potato soup!). It's just like my Baba's from when I was trivial! I did make a few changes. My Baba used to put vinegar in her soup to ensure the potatos hold together. And so I added 2 tsp white vinegar at the same fourth dimension as the chicken stock. Also, I didn't add the cheddar cheese, she never added cheese and the soup doesn't really need information technology. I didn't used olive oil either, I merely removed enough bacon grease to ensure nearly i tbsp and the drippings were left in the pan to cook the veggies in. Delicious!!!!
01/02/2012
I recollect it's important that I country, that I completely followed the recipe. My family loves this soup, that I've used this recipe more than in one case. When I am short on time I used the frozen cubed potatoes. (note: the potatoes will exist done in 5 mins or less). I hope your family enjoys this soup too.
01/22/2013
This was delicious! Perfect for a cold winter 24-hour interval. I followed the recipe exactly but did add some cooked Italian sausage I had in the frig. My husband, not a soup craver, loved it and even had a 2nd bowl. I'll make information technology once more and again.
xi/29/2012
Liked it but it needed help. Was trying to find a bacon and irish potato soup that didn't have too much fatty, only was still hearty and had substance. First off information technology needed more than chicken flavor, so I added additional craven base. I besides added 2 cloves of minced garlic to the veggies when sweating them. Then pre-cooked half of the potatoes and pureed them in a blender to add consistency. Left out the cayenne and cheddar, and my wife said its the best soup I've ever fabricated(and i make lots!) Volition keep this one with the changes.
12/06/2010
I have never written a review about any of the recipes I accept tried on this site, but this was by far the all-time potato bacon soup, ever. Didn't change a single ingredient other then to add extra carrots, and used my emulsion blender just to puree information technology slightly, left a few potato chucks. Husband and son loved information technology, no left overs for work the adjacent day. Plan to make this soup many times over the winter.
03/25/2012
Ok for starters this is Non the thick white potato soup in many Restaurants. It is yummy but if that's what you are looking for you will be disappointed. Just I was looking for a soup that was less than my g calorie per serving butter, flour, foam, cheese bacon type. I made this every bit stated except I did cook the veggies in a small amount of the bacon fat..it was already in the pan. And I did add together garlic in the veggie mix. I besides cut my potato in small and large chunks. Every bit the potatoes and veggies simmered and I stirred the small ones broke down and made a thicker broth. The cheese really wasn't necessary just information technology was my first fourth dimension making it and tried to follow earlier I alter it. I simply added a small handfull possibly a i/iv cup information technology did thicken the soup up more than. And its cheese it was still yummy. But if you lot tin't swallow cheese the soup was still adept without. I merely seasoned with the cayenne and a niggling common salt and pepper. Very simple but tasty.
04/29/2012
Oh my goodness....we merely finished this off. I didn't have cayenne pepper and then only used black. I too added 1/ii cup of rice milk (dairy allergy). The cheese was mixed into each bowl individually. It was hard to eat considering of the cheese, even so but the gustation was Amazing!!!!!!! I wait like a pro with this recipe, thanks!
03/06/2002
The kids said this was a keeper.
11/30/2010
This soup is very flavorful. Sauted the carrots, celery and onions in the bacon grease, giving extra flavour. I simmered the soup with the hat off, thickening the broth. It was non as thick as if I had used cream or milk but was not water runny. I wasn't looking for thick as in flossy. I doubled the recipe, will triple adjacent fourth dimension. Crumbled the salary and put on superlative of soup along with chopped dark-green onions, besides added a dolop of sour cream. This recipe is a keeper, will make often peculiarly in the winter fourth dimension. Thanks for posting. Peggy
06/x/2004
I love this soup. After making it several times, I've finally decided to write a review. This is a wonderful recipe and I wouldn't change a matter which isn't usual for me. Definitely ane for the books.
12/xxx/2007
When I made this recipe, I was very impressed by the simplicity of it all and how it turned out to sense of taste quite well. However, I made some changes: I didn't have salary, so I used pork-bacon sausage that I had. It added just equally much flavor. I also did not shred my cheese, I cubed it and stirred some in last minute, and as well garnished with a few cubes to make it look more than appealing and less dull. I added some spinach for greenish color and just a HINT of hot sauce (mexican hot sauce in my case, I like to add some spice to things). The soup was VERY filling and very much a comfort nutrient. Also for visual appeal, I pureed One-half of the soup to make it creamy, and added the rest back to it for texture. I added a tiny bit of heavy cream swirled in terminal minute.
x/28/2011
This is a nice light potato soup. I used some of the bacon grease as someone had suggested and have a paw blender, blending nearly one-half the potatoes to requite information technology a squeamish auburn, yellow color. I also used regular craven stock and regular Cheddar cheese to add to the flavor and center-cutting salary.
01/22/2013
If your looking for something hardy don't try this. You lot have to make a lot of changes calculation flavour and richness. This is just a runny soup similar from a inexpensive tin.
09/18/2007
This was so adept. And I made it with vegetarian salary and vegetable stock. Thank you for sharing that one, information technology is a keeper. With a handful of green onion on the top and a little more cheddar cheese, information technology is similar a baked potato in a basin. Yummy.
09/27/2003
This was really skilful! I fabricated a few minor changes: increased the cheese and added 1/2 cup of milk. This went over so well with my husband that it will exist a winter staple recipe. Thanks!
01/22/2013
I tried this soup and plant information technology delish!! I didn't modify a thing. It's definitley a wintertime comfort soup. I would make information technology again!
12/26/2011
Huge disappointment. My soup did not turn out like the film. Information technology'due south like someone forgot a major ingredient or something (flour or starch) because all I had was a articulate liquid broth with veges. If you lot are looking for the boilerplate Tater soup you get at restaurants, this is NOT the i!
11/23/2002
This soup hit the spot, very warm and nourishing! I will add more than milk side by side time for a creamier texture.
02/04/2002
I'five made a variation on this recipe for a few years now (it adds a few more than calories and fat). I brand the bacon beginning, and then drain off all but a tablespoon of fatty and sautee the onions and carrot and celery in the fat. I and so add together the residuum and substitute regular pepper for the cyanne. subsequently its done, I blend it with an immersion blender earlier adding the bacon bits dorsum into the soup. It's a smashing recipe.
12/10/2010
Delicious, made this wonderful soup later hours of snowshoveling, it was great. Followed a reviewer's tip and used milk instead of water to reconsitute stock. I can't get low sodium stock right now, and so I used regular simply omitted salt. Next time I'll also omit carmine pepper--it doesn't need it.
02/10/2008
My family wanted to go out for dinner but I told them I could brand a homemade dinner that would be fantastic and much less expensive. I made this soup and they LOVED it!!! I added 1/4 loving cup of heavy foam at the finish to thicken it up a bit. It was delicious!!!
01/sixteen/2012
Family unit loved it! No changes needed.
10/14/2002
This soup was very tasty. My husband and I added a little more than cheese and bacon then suggested....and it was great. My hubby said this recipe is definently a keeper. Thanks for the corking recipe.
10/02/2007
This soup was delicious!! I added powdered milk, basil and dry out mustard to the original recipe. My family raved near information technology. Nosotros had it with hot habitation fabricated french bread and the combination was devine!
01/26/2013
The recipe was great. Give thanks y'all Kwollak
01/20/2008
fabled flavor...added one/two & 1/ii and extra cheese...perfect for a winter repast.
05/02/2003
Easy to brand, excellent flavor. Added ane/2 cup sour cream at end. Volition definitely make again.
03/16/2012
Surprisingly better than expected, as it appeared very thin/liquidy during the cooling process. Potato flakes would be skillful to thicken. Would be better to utilise thick bacon. Don't shy away from the salt.
01/24/2013
tried this for dinner tonight, what'southward more perfect on a wet common cold day. Made information technology per the instructions plus added a clove of garlic because I use information technology in everything and served with fresh biscuts. OMG it was crawly and my husband loved information technology, 2d serving to boot, and he seldoms has seconds of soup. It thickened upwards just fine while cooking. For those that plant it too brothy mayhap melt it longer so the taters disappear into the mix. Thanx for this recipe I'll definately be making it again.
07/26/2002
This soup is so good! I decided to blend it, the texture which sealed the deal for me.
01/21/2012
Really good soup, merely doesn't need the cheese. That was overkill. Tastes excellent without. Instead of cayenne I used chipotle, which added an extra smokiness.
xi/01/2004
Oh yummy. I read some reviews first. E'er a practiced way to pick up hints. So I added two chopped cloves of garlic, virtually 4 shakes of instant mashed potatoes, 2 more cups of h2o and a couple sprinkles of craven broth. I left out all the veggies except the onions, celery (did non apply a lot of celery) Didn't even measure the bacon since I had hormel already cooked shredded salary. I am non a "measuring person then I went with appearance". It is awesome! I converted to eight servings. Next fourth dimension I volition go with more than since this was not enough for a family of 4. Added some fresh broiled breadstuff (in the bread machine of form) Perfect for a dark rainy common cold twenty-four hour period!
01/25/2006
This soup is so good. It was fast & delicious. I didnt have cheddar so I sub. monterey jack - nosotros ate almost the whole pot!
12/04/2002
This is so succulent and very easy to make. I similar creamy texture soup, and so I used hand blender to puree one-half of the soup and information technology is super good.
eleven/01/2010
This was just completely succulent. I did equally some others did, I cooked the celery, carrots and onion in the salary grease, added some ham cubes, added 2 tbsp. cornstarch dissolved in one/2 cup water, 2 cups of milk and a dash of smoked paprika. It'southward merely delicious.
03/ten/2006
Very good and easy to make. Next time I will add foam or evaporated milk in identify of some of the craven goop to arrive flossy.
eleven/21/2009
This was really good, but non the creamy typical potato soup. The prep piece of work took a while but otherwise very easy. I used the bacon fatty, but patently too much every bit it pooled on top.
12/11/2007
Crawly...I substituted vegetable goop for chicken, added 1/ii tsp poultry seasoning, blended the base of operations untill polish earlier adding the cheese (increased to 1 cup) and 1/2 loving cup whole milk...added 4 TBS fresh chopped parsley also.
02/05/2011
Information technology was practiced and tasty, but I used marble cheese and it did not melt nicely. I also added a splash of cream to make a creamy expect. Otherwise its more of a clear soup. It has a prissy flavor. Feb 5 2011
03/27/2003
Quick and piece of cake! As another reviewer indicated, I enjoyed a tater soup that was not cream based. My soup came out nice and thick later on I let it sit for a bit then reheated.
12/thirty/2003
This was the most delicious tasting murphy soup I've ever made. Information technology was very hearty and my family gobbled information technology up! The flavors were rich and comforting. This one is a keeper! :-)
01/xiv/2002
I used this recipe for the showtime grade of our Christmas dinner and everyone loved information technology - even the children! Our guests asked for the recipe and my children asked me to make this every week! I highly recommend this recipe.
11/23/2002
I was and so glad to notice a not-cream potato soup. This is very good. Fifty-fifty my picky kids liked it.
01/09/2012
The only changes that I fabricated was leaving out the cheddar. I also thickened information technology a niggling more than with corn starch and water. It was fantabulous!
11/02/2006
My family loved it! The just thing I did differently was I used some of the bacon grease instead of removing information technology and adding olive oil. Slap-up wintertime soup!
02/28/2009
This was very yummy and super easy to brand. Thanks!
03/09/2003
Excellent basic soup - like shooting fish in a barrel and succulent! Double it if you lot plan to serve more than 4 adults.
04/29/2000
My married man likes this soup and he is the PICKIEST eater, I know.
05/xiv/2009
This is not simply delicious, just much healthier than a lot of other versions. We like our potato soup more than creamy than chunky, so I utilise an immersion blender to puree afterward the vegetables are soft. Easy to make with ingredients I always take on hand - this recipe is one I employ frequently.
10/10/2012
I loved this soup, but changed a few things; get-go I didn't demand 6 servings and then I lessened the broth, using just 2cups of chicken broth and i loving cup of 2% milk. Had no cayanne pepper so I used paprika instead and also added a chicken bouillon cube for flavor. I simply used 3 cups of potatoes and one/4 cup of onions, I didn't touch on the quantity on the vegetables. I did nevertheless sautee them in the salary grease instead of olive oil. I similar a hearty broth so I added a 1/2 tsp of cornstarch and removed one-half of the soup, composite it and so returned to pot and mixed information technology Back in. I couldn't believe I made a soup that was and then skilful, will definitely be a staple in my winter meals :)
x/25/2011
This dish is fantastic. my family loved it. although i did change it up a chip. i added flour and brew potato flakes to thicken information technology upward, I as well tossed the onions, carrots, & celery into a blender to make them super tiny. (my family unit hates veggies) it was an absolute success!
04/14/2010
I love soup. This recipe is very good every bit is, plus information technology is ingredients that yous would always have on hand. Likewise, who doesn't like salary?
01/25/2003
This was good and only matter nosotros changed was using carrot shreds instead of carrot chunks. Wonderful flavor. Thank you for sharing.
ten/09/2011
I only made this for our Dominicus Dark Dinner. It definitely was a hit. This recipe is very versatile for other types of soups - i.e., turning it into a lentil soup, or even add together Bulgar in. We are non fan's of Cayanne Pepper and would not add together it in next time. Very fulfilling and satisfying.
11/26/2007
Very good! This was piece of cake to put together for a weeknight supper! I added some milk in place of the broth as suggested by other reviews. I retrieve this would exist just as good or amend without the milk.
10/23/2008
I served this to my husband for tiffin today and we both actually enjoyed it. I fabricated information technology exactly as called for, just calculation a bit of chopped green onion on tiptop. Information technology was excellent. Really tasty. Cheers very much for a bully and easy recipe!
01/23/2012
The just thing nosotros practise differently is we us an emulsion blender for a bit just before adding the cheese and bacon. My 6 and 9 twelvemonth former's favorite soup!
02/05/2004
This soup was crawly! My sons and thier friend finished off EVERY driblet. I did add together a few instant spud flakes and more than cheese, only considering we like our soups a little thicker. It was bully!
12/08/2008
This soup is Smashing! To those who quickly dismissed it equally "as well brothy" - take a paw blender and give information technology a few quick "whizzes" - the cooked potatoes are a great thickener and yet the soup remains slightly chunky! For those who said information technology was "flavourless" - add some craven Bovril (liquid) or more than salt to sense of taste. I like this recipe every bit I unremarkably have all these ingredients on paw (I used turkey bacon instead). Add together some crusty bread and yous take a hearty meal - yyummm!
02/06/2011
My whole family loved this! My son said it was astonishing! I added red pepper flakes and tarragon. This time I added two cups of cream and i cup of cheddar cheese at the end and information technology was even better forth with the tarragon and ruby-red pepper flakes!
xi/19/2007
Good dish. I did add about ane c of milk to this which fabricated it a petty creamier. One of the best potatoe soups I've e'er found.
02/10/2008
Groovy flavor. I increased amounts to 6C potatoes and 6C broth, so I increased the cayenne to 1/4 tsp. Quite a kick. Also used 1C cheddar, and pureed one-half for a creamy consistency. Will definitely brand once more.
01/eighteen/2010
Mmmmm....Mmmmmm... skillful. We institute ours a petty salty even afterward using low salt salary and adding no common salt, only we added some foam (as others suggested) and that actually made a proficient thing even better. Thanks for the recipe!
x/08/2008
huge hit and one i'll make again!
08/15/2003
all-time soup i ever had!
02/sixteen/2013
I doubled the amount of bacon and celery and threw in a good corporeality of fresh minced garlic. To arrive a cream soup, I cutting the amount of craven broth dorsum by a one-half cup and added in a half loving cup of evaporated milk. It is a thinner soup than I expected but the flavor was very good. Nosotros ate equally of this soup for lunch, paired with ham sandwiches.
12/fifteen/2004
Delicious, and even meliorate as leftovers.
01/23/2013
Later on reading a "ton" of the reviews, and trying to make it straight from the recipe, I have to say this kinda needs a scrap (lot) of tweaking. Sorry, and it may simply be my taste and the fact I tin't add together whatsoever pepper to things for my mom'south sake. Only....I added garlic to the veggie saute, (dearest garlic), chicken thigh to the broth, (trying to brand a richer base), and and then nonetheless tasting and tasting as information technology went along....it was nonetheless lacking in season (IMO). Concluded upwards adding the garlic, some thigh meat, parsley, onion powder, and mushrooms, oh and used emulsion blender to puree some of the potatoes and make it thicker. My Mom loved information technology when she added some foam at the end in her bowl, then I volition keep it as a neat starter. I added black pepper, red pepper and a shot or two of hot sauce to mine. We'll see how it tastes tomorrow, equally SO many things like this are better after melding overnight. We ALL tweak things to our tastes, allergies, etc., but I volition say this recipe got me into the kitchen to endeavour making a potato soup for the 1st time- so that's ever skillful! :-)
01/29/2013
Very expert soup. Made exactly like recipe using an immersible blender to thicken upward the soup. I used more cayenne pepper, but would stick with the ane/8 teaspoon. Had company for lunch and it was a large hit.
eleven/29/2010
Delicious. The cayenne added a scrap too much boot for my family, so I need to subtract the corporeality.
08/05/2008
This was a pretty proficient recipe. I would brand it once more.
01/24/2013
Wife Thought Information technology WAS VERY Expert. A BIT TOO MUCH POTATOES FOR ME. I ADDED FRESH Blackness PEPPER AND A BIT OF CILANTRO AND It IMPROVED THE FLAVOR. Volition PROBABLY TRY Information technology AGAIN WITH SOME CHANGES. PAT Five.
11/09/2009
this was first-class.. i made a few changes.. added a clove of garlic, doubled the corporeality carrots and celery, added some black pepper, and i put the bacon in subsequently the boil to become part of and flavor the soup. besides right earlier serving, i mixed in the cheese (probably a full cup).. and it was the all-time white potato-bacon soup ive ever tasted. Thanks for the inspiration!
09/30/2005
My whole family loves this soup. Since we like a thicker soup, I puree about one-half of it just before I add together the cheese and salary.
01/26/2013
I adjusted the recipe a scrap...added Applewood Chicken Sausage and (Diced) Kale...mmm Crawly!!!
02/13/2005
More than work than my regular creamy poatto soup, just a skillful alter of pace. I also added about 1/4 cup of murphy flakes for thickening, as well as a dash of evaporated milk. Oh, and too doubled the cheese to one cup, as recommended. I also pureed one-half in the blender for a smoother texture. Great potato soup option for those who can't handle milk products.
12/20/2007
This is Fantabulous! I didn't have whatever regular chocken stock in my pantry, and my family is rather large, and then I doubled the recipe an added what I DID have in my pantry-14 oz. of roasted garlic craven stock, then I substututed h2o for the residual of the liquid and adjusted the common salt so that it wouldn't exist too bland. When I served information technology, my son asked me to top it with a bit of shredded cheddar, a dollop of sour cream and some chives. This gave information technology a really good broiled spud soup type taste. Information technology's cold and rainy this night and this was a perfect cold weather soup with some crusty staff of life. Dandy recipe!
01/24/2013
Awesome soup! Everyone loved it!
01/17/2003
LOVED Information technology!!!! I accidently picked upwardly a tin can of goop with herbs and it was delicious!!!! My husband (who is not large on soup) fifty-fifty said it was pretty good. Will make once again!
12/23/2001
Very skilful soup! I followed the hash browns advice - people idea it was restaurant quality!
01/xiv/2011
I simply fabricated this soup for the first time and I think it'southward delicious. I used homemade chicken goop so I may have used a chip more than than what was called for. I did remove some of the potatoes and puree some with the broth, but I think this is a personal preference and you can estimate for yourself whether yous demand to puree or not. It'due south definitely a prissy, unproblematic and tasty soup!
12/23/2002
This was wonderful. I added a few splashes of half and half at the very end. I will definitely make this again. Thank you!
01/26/2013
Expert wholesome soup! I omitted the salary being a vegetarian and replaced the chicken goop with vegetable. I like some other reviewer pureed one-half to make information technology creamy. I also added my own spices similar dill and Mrs. Dash. I thought this had a actually proficient flavour and is a great lowfat soup if yous don't add the cheese (which I didn't). I also like the celery and carrots to requite it color. I would definitely recommend it.
01/30/2003
YUM. Increased cayenne to 1/2 tsp (I like it spicy) and used green onions instead. I also used 3 cups cubed potatoes and 1 loving cup shredded irish potato (shredding all of it was far as well tiring) and that made the broth thicker and creamier. The second fourth dimension I made it, I increased the broth to 6 cups, doubled the cheese, and added four cloves minced garlic to the initial sautee. For a group of picky eaters, this is a corking vegetarian soup (if fabricated with herb bouillion) that yous can sprinkle salary bits onto for the carnivores.
01/16/2012
Wow, this was then expert! It tasted like it had been cooking all day, amazing! I used turkey bacon and fat free craven broth to make it a little healthier. Adjacent fourth dimension I'thou going to throw in some cloves of garlic with the onion to make it even improve!
11/xxx/2008
I fabricated a triple batch of this for a church building fundraiser and information technology was well received. I used gouda instead of cheddar as I am in Holland and it is much cheaper than imported cheddar. I also took the advice of others and stirred in some creme fraiche to add together some creaminess. Next time, I might save some potatoes to add together later, equally many of my potatoes had dissolved by the time we served.
